Due to its corrosion-resistance capabilities, Glass Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) can replace traditional steel rebar in concrete for use in-
bridges, wastewater plants, breakwater treatment, other sites or elements that are (typically) located up to 500 meters from the water line (sea, ocean).

Although GFRP pultruded products have good mechanical tensile strength, they can easily be cut on the perpendicular, making GFRP rebar the preferred choice for —
slurry walls in underground stations during construction, rock bolts in underground parking areas, especially in crowded urban centers where future underground infrastructures may pass close to the new construction, and in tunnel excavations.

Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), with its super strength and low weight, has been used to strengthen ceilings and columns in restrored buildings, where existing spaces are limited.
